This is a new edition of G.F. Handel’s Eight Great Harpsichord Suites of 1720. It is fully fingered following the principles expounded in the eBook “Baroque Keyboard Fingerings: A Method”, as well as my own experience through more than 30 years performing Handel’s keyboard works in recitals.
The new edition includes 59 pages worth of details on the edition methods and the performance of each piece. The text includes a fresh comparative analysis of versions and errors, a discussion of Handel’s fingering, and suggestions for the player about ornamentation, articulation, registration, tempi, notes inégales and other topics.
