Posts are delayed for 10 minutes before being sent out. This is to allow the author time to check and edit if need be. I can change the delay time, but the default of 10 seems right to me.
Also, you can edit your post after posting, on the web interface. Updates won’t be emailed out, but the web post will be updated. The pencil icon enables editing.
