Hi All, Discourse has a lot of powerful features worth becoming familiar with. It’s very modern software, and so does a lot more things than people may expect (and of course I emphasise you can post images). It has a function called Onebox, which is to say, if you post a link to say youtube, it embeds the player in the post in the forum and users don’t need to go outside or offsite to view it.
The way to do this is simply to put the youtube link on a line by itself. Here’s an example:
I really feel this makes for a much more pleasant reading experience on the forum.
This works for Soundcloud and other services. You can see the preview of what it produces in the preview window to the right of the compose window for posts.
