I just ran into another quirk in Discourse’s handling of email replies. My recent reply to Claudio began as follows:

It looks like that in my Sent folder (the vertical bar having originally been the ususal greater-than sign) but the first two lines didn’t make it though Discourse to the post or the outgoing email. Those ended up looking a bit strange but at least the meaning is clear.
Just another thing for people to be aware of who prefer email.
