Transcriptions

The recent thread on Handel’s Water Music arrangement seems to suggest that this would be a good place to discuss other transcriptions. Though (or because) we already have a large repertoire, most of us here probably also play music that wasn’t originally written for our instrument. It would be nice if we could share ideas, recordings, videos and, best of all, actual transcriptions (though I’m afraid many of us never take the time and trouble to write them out).
Here’s something to start out: a sarabande for lute by François Dufaut transcribed and played by Pierre Gallon.

A beautiful video. Just a bit strange to see an harpsichord in the woods, but I like the video.
Of course I like very much the music and the harpsichordist as well.

The whole recording is a very fine one, and includes other pieces
originally for the lute.
